Zoom demonstration - number cakes

Upcoming Start Dates
You will be sent an invitation to join the zoom 'meeting' along with a list and picture of the equipment and materials Annabelle will be using.
It is tricky enough getting sharp edges, straight sides, flat tops on a standard shape cake - a number cake has additional challenges! The demonstration will give you so much information that will enable you to confidently tackle a number cake but also give you additional skills to help with standard shaped cake too.
Annabelle will demonstrate how to
- Line a number tin
- Tutorial - how to fill the tin with batter neatly and ensuring an even bake
- How to split and fill your number cake with jam and buttercream
- How to crumb coat your number cake.
- How to ice your number cake with sugarpaste (fondant) to achieve a smooth finish (no elephant skin, no tears, no pleats, no cracks!)
- How to get sharp edges
- How to move your iced cake onto the presentation board
- Discussion - buttercream style number cakes
As always, Annabelle will share her top tips and knowledge gained from over 25 years in the cake industry. You will able to record the demonstration (or we can send you the link to Annabelle's recording) - you can save this to watch and re-watch as many times as you like, forever.
