Learn how to make 4 different styles of completely edible poppies.  Pipe swirls onto cupcakes which you will then decorate with your flowers.

We will bake you four scrummy cupcakes.  You will learn how to make stunning poppies suitable for cupcakes and all celebration cakes.  Learn how to ice a cupcake in sugar paste and three different piping styles - a 'Mr Whippy' swirl, and 2 types of rose swirl.

This is a delightful work shop which covers many new skills and even better, you take four delicious cupcakes home with you!

  • How to make a poppy
  • How to frill petals
  • How to use a petal veiner
  • Shaping and drying techniques for sugar flowers
  • How to use a selection of modelling tools.
  • How to pipe a  rose swirl in 2 styles
  • How to pipe a traditional cupcake swirl
  • how to cover a cupcake with sugar paste
  • How to use piping and piping jelly to create a stunning enamel effect (this really does have the 'wow' factor!)

Annabelle is an accredited tutor for the PME Diplomas in Sugar craft and also designs and delivers a wide range of other highly successful cake baking and decorating classes.
