Make your own delicious flavoured buttercream and then pipe roses, tulips, star flowers using the Nifty (Russian) nozzles and leaves.

Start the workshop by making your own traditional buttercream using the Sugar & Crumbs flavoured icing sugar.  What flavour will you choose?  Traditional vanilla, raspberry ripple, Strawberry milkshake, salted caramel, lemon drizzle- choose from a wide selection.  

Consistency is everything with buttercream and your tutor will explain each stage step by step including what to do in different weather conditions.  Learn all about storage and keeping times.  

You will colour your buttercream and we will discuss the range of colours available - what to choose and why.  Learn a range of colouring techniques.

Using  a selection of colouring techniques and Nifty (Russian nozzles) to create these charming flowers and leaves to adorn cupcakes (provided for you)

Annabelle established Confection Perfection (now re-branded as Annabelle Jane Cake School) in 1996 from her kitchen table; bought her first retail premises in 2000 and is now settled in a delightful setting in Bearsted, just outside Maidstone.  Annabelle has extensive cake decorating experience and is highly creative and artistic. Annabelle is an accredited tutor for the PME Diplomas in Sugar craft and also designs and delivers a wide range of other highly successful cake baking and decorating classes. Annabelle has a huge vision for our Cake School and ensures that the strong reputation we have earned continues to grow lead by her consistently high standards.

Everything is included - the cupcakes, icings and use of equipment.  A box is provided for you to transport your cupcakes home.  Students receive a set of course notes.  You are most welcome to take photograpghs to supplement your notes (no videos please).Students also receive a 10% discount on shop purchases on items used on the course.

We provide tea/ coffee/ drinking water and cake.

All courses are so friendly and we work at our own pace. The teacher was excellent, patient and helpful and gave us various tips. The course was exactly what I expected and got more information while there. We had to be at a social distance but the classroom was so well organised it didn't interfere with our lesson. I felt perfectly safe. It's always nice to get a discount on items used on the course. I would recommend joining the cake club. Keep the courses coming please.

I’d recommend – clear instructions suitable to all levels. However I thought we would be using petal nozzles & be building the flowers rather than using a specific nozzle. Very friendly tutor who made the whole class feel at ease. The directions were easy to understand & she covered all the basics as well as advising useful tips that can be used at home.
