Annabelle
Director
Annabelle established Confection Perfection (now re-branded as Annabelle Jane Cake School) in 1996 from her kitchen table; bought her first retail premises in 2000 and is now settled in a delightful setting in Bearsted, just outside Maidstone. Annabelle has extensive cake decorating experience and is highly creative and artistic. Annabelle is an accredited tutor for the PME Diplomas in Sugar craft and also designs and delivers a wide range of other highly successful cake baking and decorating classes. Annabelle has a huge vision for our Cake School and ensures that the strong reputation we have earned continues to grow lead by her consistently high standards.
Everything is provided for you - the wires, flowerpaste, colours, the cake, the jam, the buttercream, ganache, icings, a board and box to take your cake home. All the equipment is provided for you and you also receive a set of course notes.
We provide tea, coffee, drinking water and cake. You may like to bring a packed lunch or there is a local deli in walking distance.
You may like to bring an apron (please don't buy one - we have spares!)

A beautiful cake to make, full of interesting whimsical flowers. this can be adapted for any occasion. Easier to make as not botanically correct but beautiful none-the-less. Such a brilliant day. Annabelle was so patient explaining everything to a level that was then easy to transfer to your cake. Nothing was too much trouble.

Fantastic course with lots of different things included. Very good tutor - repeated as necessary, showed fiddly bits 1 to 1, answered all questions. Annabelle is so knowledgeable and even when you think it has all gone wrong, she is so encouraging and helpful.

Fantastic course, learnt so many other techniques than I expected. The colours on these cakes were stunning. Loved the fact each cake was unique with different leaves, berries and colours. An amazing day where everyone has gone home with something different. Step by step guide by a great tutor which means even someone who is new to cake decorating can achieve an amazing cake. A great day with lots of new techniques.

Had a lovely day at Cake School doing this course. I really was out of my comfort zone as this one threw all of the normal rules out of the window. Worked with a lovely group of ladies and everyone went home with a great cake. They were all amazing. Thank you once again to Annabelle Jane for your ideas and creativity and to Lisa H for providing the tea and keeping us topped up with equipment when needed. I would urge everyone to do this course if it comes up again. The course was more than I expected - I can't believe we fitted everything in and the end results were outstanding. Maybe not for an absolute beginner but I think anyone even with limited skills can do this.
